What is hydro excavation?

Hydro excavation is the most preferred way to dig because it is safe, non-destructive, and more accurate. The concept of hydro excavation was inspired by gold mining in the 1800s. The construction industry adapted the technology to work with vacuum trucks and sewer cleaners. Over the years, companies began to manufacture trailer-mounted units to perform the digging work, and these rigs have become increasingly more sophisticated.

Utilizing highly pressurized water along with an industrial-strength vacuum, the soil is extracted from the ground. The vacuum transports the debris into an enclosed debris tank, which is mounted on our hydro-vac unit. This process allows for safe transport to a designated disposal site.
